HISTORY OF TICA

With the origin of TICA dating back to 1992, TICA was developed from a dream to reality. The idea and design was by a successful Principal of a Sydney based Real Estate Agency. He identified the need to create a service that would enable Property Managers around the country to have their own specialised Tenancy Database when the industry lost the ability to access Credit Information.

When launched criticism followed about TICA's ability to deliver what it said it would, with some sceptics making statements such as "TICA would be a six month wonder" and "the industry would not accept the system'.

On a tight budget and only a dream to promote, TICA traveled State by State throughout the Country holding promotional meetings for Property Managers. TICA knew that whilst they were not the first company to commence operating a Tenancy Database they were the first with a full Default Tenancy Control System and the first to have the scope to launch the system Nationally.

Computerisation played a vital part in the growth and development of the company with new programs and systems being introduced in the mid 90’s allowing TICA to process enquiries faster than ever before.

With the new programs and systems being introduced TICA experienced unprecedented growth and catapulted TICA and it's National Tenancy Database and Default Tenancy Control System into the limelight of the media. TICA quickly grew into the market leader in Tenancy Screening becoming Australia's Premier Tenancy Database and was invited by many franchise and marketing groups as guest speakers.

In the late 90’s internet usage was building momentum and TICA developed it first online system providing 24/7 real time access to it's members.

Since then we have not looked back.

We have now introduced a range of add on products and services to our 6000+ Real Estate members throughout Australia, honouring our commitment to continue to Empower the Industry along with maintaining our position as Australia's Largest National Tenant Database.
